I am Registered as an Applied Psychology Practice Supervisor with the British Psychological Society. I provide clinical supervision to a range of Applied Psychologists, Trainee Psychologists and Psychological Therapists from a variety of disciplines. I can also provide group supervision to those delivering psychological therapies. I can provide specific supervision within a Person-Centred model or a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy model or can provide supervision within a pluralistic framework.
I have experience in supervising Counselling Psychology Trainees from the D.Psych Counselling Psychology programme at Glasgow Caledonian University, both privately and within the NHS. I have insight, knowledge and close links with the course, having qualified from there myself in 2012 and subsequently taught on the programme, where I still act as an external examiner and guest lecturer. I am passionate about supervising trainee counselling psychologists, having been through the process myself, I am acutely aware of the challenges this training poses and am passionate about helping trainees flourish and develop into competent, confident and dynamic clinicians. Due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic, I am working exclusively online via Zoom. The D.Psych Counselling Psychology programme at Glasgow Caledonian University has endorsed online supervision as a result of the pandemic, and so any supervision with myself falls in line with course requirements. I have a particular interest in supervising and mentoring Stage 3 trainee and newly qualified counselling psychologists, supporting their developing professional identity and transition away from trainee to practitioner. |
